Action Phase
- This phase takes place after the Deployment Phase, in which players can perform various actions using their Action Tokens.
- The actions available to players are Move, Recover and Battle.
- Players may perform these actions in any order they desire. It is, therefore, wise to plan how, and when, to use action tokens with your teammates.
Move
- For this Action, a player will flip one of his Action Tokens over in order to move his Ranger figure from one location to another.
- A player CANNOT use an Action Token to move a Ranger in the middle of a battle, regardless of whether or not they are participating in the battle.
Omega Red Ranger is using one of his Action Tokens to move from the Command Center to any one of the outer locations.
Recover
- If a player wishes to Recover, he will flip his action token over in order to take up to 6 shields worth of cards from his discard pile and shuffle them back into his deck.
- If the player’s Ranger has no stored energy, then they will take one from the supply.
- You do not need to recover exactly 6 shields worth of cards. You may decide to take only one card with a shield value of 2 to shuffle back into your deck, for example.
HyperForce Blue may recover any combination of cards in his discard pile so long as the total value of shields does not exceed 6.
Battle
- A player may initiate a battle so long as their Ranger figure is in the same location as a Villain figure.
- Only one player needs to initiate combat. All other players in the same location do not need to flip over their Action Tokens, and will automatically participate in the battle.
- There are many more aspects to the Battle action, which you can learn about here.
