Deployment Phase
- This phase occurs at the start of a Round. During this phase, players will resolve 5 enemy deployments.
- Only Foot Soldiers are deployed in the first Round.
- During Rounds 2 & 3, a Monster or Nemesis will be deployed in addition to the Foot Soldiers.
- During the 4th Round, the chosen Boss will be deployed with the Foot Soldiers. Any further Rounds will only deploy more Foot Soldiers.
- After all 5 deployments have been made in a Round, shuffle the used deployment cards together and place them at the bottom of the deployment deck.
Deploying Foot Soldiers
2 Putty Patrollers will be deployed to the Power Plant.
- Flip the top card of the deployment deck to see which Foot Soldier, and how many will be deployed.
- The Foot Soldier (s) will be placed in the location shown on the back of the next card of the deployment deck.
- If an Outer Location has reached it’s figure limit (becoming panicked), then the Foot Soldiers will deployed to the next outer location (in a clockwise manner) that has not reached it’s figure limit.
2 more Putty Patrollers will be deployed to the Dockyard. However, since the Dockyard is at it’s maximum figure limit, the Foot Soldiers will instead be deployed to the Power Plant.
Deploying Monsters/Nemeses
- Monsters/Nemeses deployment cards will always be deployed alongside a Foot Soldier deployment card.
- When flipping the top card of the deployment deck, if the next card is a Monster/Nemesis card, then flip that card over as well and deploy both Foot Soldiers and the Monster/Nemesis to the location depicted on the top of the deployment deck.
- When deploying multiple figures, Foot Soldiers are always deployed first, then Monsters/Nemeses, and Bosses last.
Since there is only room for 1 figure at the Power Plant, the Foot Soldier will go to the Power Plant. The Black Dragon Monster will be deployed to the Pai Zhua Academy.
Deploying Bosses
Both Foot Soldiers and Lord Zedd will be deployed to the Power Plant.
- Bosses are deployed in the same manner as Monsters and Nemeses.
- If a Monster, Nemesis or Boss would be deployed to a panicked location, it will, instead, go to the next location (in a clockwise manner) that is NOT panicked.
- If players are unable to defeat the Boss by the end of Round 4, then another deployment will take place until the Rangers win or are defeated
- All deployments past Round 4 will comprise of only Foot Soldiers, and will proceed the same way as in the first Round.
The Foot Soldiers will be deployed to the Power Plant. However, since that location is already panicked, Lord Zedd will be deployed to Pai Zhua Academy instead.
